MacAulay Marlins

If you have a swimmer who may be interested in helping the Macaulay Marlins this season as a volunteer junior coach please meet Coach Kristen and Coach Morgan at the pool Monday, May 14th, at 7pm for a quick meeting.

A quick reminder that skills day is Monday, May 14th, for anyone who has not swam for the Macaulay Marlins before.

Practices will start Tuesday, May 15th. The age group practice times are:  
 5:00 - 5:30 for 5 and 6 year olds
 5:30 - 6:00 for 7 year olds
 6:00 - 6:30 for 8 year olds
 6:30 - 7:00 for 9 and 10 year olds
 7:00 - 7:30 for 11 and 12 year olds
 7:30 - 8:00 for 13 and older

Please only bring your child to the designated practice time. I know it's not always convenient however we have a lot of swimmers this year and this is the most even practice groups we could come up with. If you have not registered yet please do so ASAP!

Hello MacAulay Marlins Families!
A few reminders and notes to mention as the season is quickly sneaking up on us.

1st: If you haven't registered yet please go ahead and do so ASAP.

2nd: Skills Day is May 14th, practices start the 15th.  Times to follow shortly.

We are looking forward seeing everyone on the pool deck once again!!

3rd:  We have had a lot of interest this year regarding junior coach positions.  After a meeting with our Marlins accountant we have determined that we won't have any funds with in the budget this year for that position.  We do have 2 head coaches which eats most of our coaching budget and we have many equipment needs coming up  (such as real starting blocks and a new lane reel to hold our new lane lines we had to purchase last year)  which we need to save for in order to purchase.   So instead of making the decision to raise registration fees we have decided to make the jr. coach position a volunteer position this year.  The coaches are looking for a few motivated strong individuals to help them with the younger kids practices.  If your child is interested in helping Coach Kristen and Coach Morgan please email us and let us know when and how often they could help.  We could also offer the incentive of volunteer hours for those that need it.

4th:  We are also looking to fill a few volunteer positions with in the team from our swim team families.  We are in need of a computer savvy (ok facebook savvy) person to help us start up a facebook page for the Marlins.  We could then share pictures/video's and information via facebook.   We also are in need of 2 people to run a concession stand for us for our two home meets.  Since we decide not to have a fundraiser this is our ONLY source of revenue for the team.  Please consider helping us!  And lastly (for now) we are in need someone to help us coordinate our end of year banquet.  If you can help us with any of these needs please email us ASAP or if you have any questions please don't hesitate to drop us a line.

The MacAulay Marlins Swim Team has it's first registration day on Tuesday, April 17th from 6-8pm a the clubhouse.  All new swimmers must submit a copy of a birth certificate to verify age. Families need to print and fill out all the necessary forms found on the "Register" page. If you are unable to make the April 17th registration date another registration day is planned for Sunday, April 22 from 5-7pm at the clubhouse.
